Public Speaking
Mick Finnegan is an inspiring mental health advocate and public speaker. Mental health is one of the most important conference topics of the 21st Century, as 25% of the global population will be impacted by neurological disorders at some point in their lives.
Mick has spoken at numerous public speaking events in schools, universities, conferences and workplaces across the UK and Ireland. These have included professional rugby clubs, charities and various health and social care providers. In his public speaking, he shares his journey through mental illness using films and photography to illustrate his lived experiences. Mick recently appeared on “The Tommy Tiernan Show” and talked about his experience of homelessness and the suicidal thoughts he had after he was sexually abused as a child.
